Hello, I recently started GameDev on Godot and I find it a pain to use these animations for the reason that the center of the sprites are different for say Idle to Attack. So when i transition to attack, my sprite will teleport to the left side as there is no padding towards the left side for empty space.
Could someone help me out or teach me how to do so in Aseprite?
Go to Aseprite, active the "move tool", hold the sprite (character) and move it to the left with the mouse. You can use the arrows of the keyboard instead of the mouse.
I didn't find a option near to "put it in the center" like there is on Corel Draw and GIMP. In Aseprite I normally:
- Count how many pixels are in the line (vertical or horizontal), - I subtract the number of pixels of the sprite - Now I divide the number by 2 and get a "value" - I put half of the "value" in both sides
You can also make a layer to use as reference, like the "Reference Point" layer that is inside the "All Animations in Aseprite.aseprite"
Don't forget to turn the reference layer to invisible before export the sprites
Hey Thomas! I have some artwork and animations that an artist made for our game. These include a magical projectile attack, and death/fall animation (For Dark & Light only) what is the best way I can contact you?
I take it that the characters are most suitable for 16x16 pixel world assets?
Also, congratulations on the response on your "Sheepy: A Short Adventure" release too. From the trailer I saw, it looks outstanding.
Finally, I was wondering it you still had plans to release any further character animations related to this pack, providing you have some time now that Sheepy has been released on Steam.
I just started learning Game Maker at the end of February and as a lone developer plan to make a game and (dream, dream) maybe if entertaining enough release it commercially.
I am still deciding on what kind of a game I want my first game to really be, even the resolution, etc, and must admit that although I am leaning towards a certain kind of game I keep looking at your cool characters wondering if I should try to incorporate them into a game.
One question I do have is concerning your statement you include in you asset packs:
“You can use this asset pack for commercial project until you credit me :)”.
Does this mean after purchasing an asset pack from you that I can freely use it in a game if I do not credit you, even it I decide to sell it commercially later? However, if I credit you in my game, does this then mean I can not us it for commercial games?
Regardless, I am really looking forward to seeing what other packs or updates you release over time. Of all the other pixel artists I follow, your work stands out at the top. You create so much life with so little pixels!
Thanks so much, this is an amazing resource! By repurposing some of the frames in the longer animations, it's pretty easy to piece together other actions, like abrupt-halt, duck/bow, etc. I'm very happy with my purchase, thanks!!! Good luck with Sheepy!
Hello, great resource. I can use her as the main character in my new game. However, I found a big problem, that is, the characters lack the animations of Hurt and Dead. Can you please add them?

Hey! Thanks for the kind words :)
Yes! I want to make an "extended animation pack" since a long time and now that Sheepy has been released, I'm ready to work on that :)
So more to come in a few weeks or months I guess! Feel free to follow me on Twitter to stay updated !
Hi Thomas,
Thanks for the quick reply.

I'm not sure to understand your question but basically :
- Until you've bought the asset pack, you can use it as you want, even for commercial projects.
- I would like people to credit me if they're using my asset pack but in the end if you don't want to, nevermind. Do as you want :)
Hope it answer your question!
Hello, we will waiting the dead animations. Thanks
Hello, it's on its way. Thanks
Boa noite, gostei do designer do personagem. como foi feito? Estou pensando em desenvolver um desse naipe ai mesmo, bom trabalho
Foi feito no PhotoShop, mas também da para usar o Aseprite
this is so great! But could you consider an shooting animation?
I’m willing to pay for expansion development.
Could you perhaps include an animation for a bow and arrow attack?
Thanks so much, this is an amazing resource! By repurposing some of the frames in the longer animations, it's pretty easy to piece together other actions, like abrupt-halt, duck/bow, etc. I'm very happy with my purchase, thanks!!! Good luck with Sheepy!

great asset
please add natural running start animation and jump start,Jumping and Falling Interim Animation?
I agree that the jump doesn't look super natural in use. +1 to a proper running jump transition!
Does the aseprite file included?
Yes, have fun!
Hello there!
I make a aseprite file with every frame of the character and fx, can I sent to you to you add it for the others?
